Livelihood

MNREGA-NRLM-CFT project in Karra Block of Khunti district, Jharkhand.

Around 8,700 families were directly benefited under this project. KSRA supported 12,815 SC/ST families for getting job card and ensured at least 75 labor days per year per job card holder. It also worked towards ensuring the quality implementation of schemes and proper utilization of assets created under MNREGA. 20,966 workers could open their personal Bank Accounts with the support of KSRA. Total 93 families could successfully establish mango orchard in 79 acres of land with intercropping under the plantation area in the year 2018.

Poverty Alleviation through livelihood and Credit generation, Advocacy and Networking for Rights and Entitlements among poor tribal community.

60 strong CBOs strengthened and well equipped with knowledge information and capacity to act on the issues related to livelihood enhancement. 900 families benefitted through various social security and livelihood schemes. 100 coping mechanisms adopted so that change in climate condition and cropping pattern has least effect on food production.

Livelihood promotion in 45 villages in Namkum Block of Ranchi District from 2009 till 2011 supported by UNDP and IGSSS.

The project worked on Livelihood promotion through self-help group specially through 150 women Self help groups in 45 villages (100 SHGs) in Namkum Block, Ranchi District and 25 villages (50 SHGs) in Khutpani Block of West Singhbhum District. Focussed on promotion of NRM activities such as development of Pond, check dam, vegetable growing promotion through Drip irrigation and poly house development, development of Village Micro Plan, promotion of Goat rearing, training, and capacity building on various issues of RTI, MNREGA, SRI farming, health and vegetable growing and marketing.
